My customer is currently running Modular Messaging 4.0. The customer bought a new version 5.2 along with new hardware from Avaya. The platform is the HP DL360. I am installing version 5.2 as a new install and want to export the users from the old system and import them into the new system. What is the best way to do this?

You may want read the 4.0 to 5.2 upgrade migration section of the install guide as this will tell you how to do this. What backend are you using ?

My configuration is an Avaya MAS as the front end and an Avaya MAS as the back end.

Also check the DL360 Maintaining and installation guide for the hardware.
If the customer is changing backend storage (moving from MSS to Exchange, for example) the mailbox database won't be moved.
With MM it is always like-for-like on an upgrade.
