Modular Messaging 5.2 Windows 2003 Server EOS

Hello,

I am looking for some feedback regarding Modular Messaging 5.2 on Windows 2003 Server. As you know Windows 2003 server support ends July 15, 2015. I have been tasked to decommission the 2003 servers and need information on whether 5.2 is supported on a Windows 2008 or 2012 server? My support vendor is stating that I will need to upgrade to Aura Messaging which is a huge concern for my company from both a capital and timeline perspective. Do I have any options to stay on a Windows server 2008 or above?

MM will only ever be on 2003.

You'll never actually have Windows problems with MM that require the support MS is ending though. And if it isn't accessible from the Internet, there's no real worries there.

Also, depending on the support level you have on MM, the license cost per seat to upgrade is different - down to free if you have Support Upgrade Advantage or something.

As Aura Messaging can also in VMWare on your own hardware, the upgrade may not be as pricey as you think if you wanted to do it.
