Modular Messageing not disconnecting

We have modular messaging 3.1 with a MSS back end. There is one subscriber who is reporting that periodically when callers leave a message the line does not disconnect after they hang up, and his mailbox gets filled with the telco recording "if you'd like to make a call please hang up and dial again..."

The last time this happened I checked the OHV and it showed a message length of only 15 seconds.

This is the only subscriber reporting this problem - any ideas where I can start to look?

I would look at the ANI of the caller that left the message and see where it is coming from. If this is the only person that is getting this then i bet it is the same caller that is causing it. In some cases the tel co that the caller is coming from may not provide a positive disconnect and this will happen.

In some rural areas they do not have the ability to provide that type of signaling or it can also be the carrier used for a LD call.
