We have got a problem with our eth1 (coorparate lan) inteface on the MSS server.
The eth1 inteface doesn't come up. In the linux boot sequence the eth1 either. The interface isn't mention anyway.. It looks like that Linux did not detect the eth1 interface. Does anyone has this problem before????

Before we did look closer to the linux booting sequence we tried every option in the netscape browser TCP/IP administration field 10/100/1000/ HD /FD/
We also tried another switch and an crossover cable.

btw: The MAS server en the private LAN interface (eth0) on the MSS server are working perfect. Also the connection with the CM is working properly. We did also checked if the eth1 interface was enabled in the BIOS.

I Really hope someone can help us.

What version MSS ?Is this a new install?
Try looking at the software levels and patches installed on your MSS as there is a patch out to fix the corporate lan port.Basically you can't assign an ip address to the corporate unless you have the patch.

Hi Fred.

Today we have solved the problem with the MSS server. In the directory /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ the file eth1-cfg was missing.

We have copied the eth0-cfg to eth1-cfg and changed the values in it. After this change we could modify the eth1 (coorparate interface) by using the netscape browser again.

Thanks for thinking with us
