Modifying user name

You can rename the user in NetWare Administrator by selecting the user, clicking on the Object menu, then choosing Rename. I would then rename the users home directory, nothing special about that - just rename it using Windows Explorer. But you would then have to amend the Environment of the user to point to the renamed directory and also check to ensure the rights to the home directory are still applied.
It is best to do this when the user is logged out, and leave enough time for your NDS to synchronise the changes. Password for the user would still be the same...

And if you use Identity Manager, you can make it happen on the fly. Not that you can install this right now, but maybe a long term goal.
