I'm trying to add a simple message box prompting the user if he "really wants to delete files...". The problem is that i want this message box to appear ONLY in the UNINSTALL process, not in the installing one.
It seems like there is no way to modify or add dialogs for the UNINSTALL process. Is this true?

Built-in is a box saying "Are you sure you want to uninstall this product". Now you want to add "Are you sure you want to do this ?".

Look at the INSTALLED / NOT INSTALLED "property" in the msi script. You can use this to do things during uninstall only.

Thing is, what is it you want the user to keep ? If he has modified any of the installed files, i.e. added data to the application, Windows Installer will not per default uninstall these files. You could of course add a custom action to delete these files and supply that with a custom dialog.

Thank you for your quick response. I have the Wise Installation program - is the "Wise for Windows Installer" a different one ? Because i don't have a INSTALLED/NOT INSTALLED property.
Thing is that after the installation is finished, the application creates a data folder in the local machine. Since this folder is not part of the installation, i added it to the INSTALL.LOG so that i could erase this folder when uninstalling - this i've succeeded. The only thing is that i want to prompt the user if he's sure to delete these data files. These are not system files which go in the Windows/System directory - it is a simple directory. Can i do this with the "Wise Installation" version ?

Im sorry, I am talking Wise for Windows Installer and you are talking Wise Installation System.

Give me a day or two, I'll have a look.
