modifying the crCross cursor 1

I would like to create a custom cursor. The crCross cursor covers the "hot spot". I want to remove the five center dots from the cross and compile the result into the exe file (without a cur-file).

Are you trying to assign the cursor from some
source at runtime. the cur file is inserted into the
exe at compile. Shouldn't be a problem.

I didn't realize that it could compile into the exe, thought I had to supply it with the exe.
That makes a difference, thanks butthead

however the LoadCursorFromFile api will still get it from a file. How can you get the cursor in the resource, I cannot add a cur file to the project ?
