modifying tabs in firework 1

I brought a DW template on the net with tabs on.
The names on the tabs need changing to something that suits me.
I am told the .png files are only editable in Fireworks, but I have not got a clue what to do. I am a newbie and would be grateful for any advice given.

you mean slices...on your toolbar chose the slice tool and hold down then selct the slice chooser

then double click a slice and its proerties will come up

then just name it what you want [Hammer]
