I checked the routing table and their is already an entry for default route, but it is incorrect...what is the best way to modify this entry?

Thanks!

How was this incorrect default route added ?
Check the startup scripts:
grep route /etc/rc2.d/*

Since 5.0.6 the best way to enter the default route is to set the GATEWAY variable in the /etc/default/tcp file.

man route
man SFF tcp

Hope This Helps, PH.
