Modifying job very slow on 11.1 problem.

Hi,

One of our customers in using Arcserve 11.1 on a Small Business Server 2003. Adding a job works fine, but when trying to modify it, it takes minutes to show the job on screen and changing something will also takes minutes to show it on screen.

Any idea?

I have found SBS to be particularly resource intensive. Slow responses like this often point to insufficient physical memory, or a disk channel bottleneck in the configuration. It's really a consequence of trying to cram 3 different types of application servers into one box.

Download and install Service Pack 2 for BrightStor ARCserve Release 11.1.
This solved the same probleem for mw.

The Server has 1Gb of memory and is a 2.8GHz Xeon processor. When modifying the job, cpu usage hardly comes to 60%, so there should be enough left for this purpuse.

Upgraded Arcserve to build 3100 (is that SP2?) and still no go.

Any other ideas?

3100 is only SP1. SP2 is build level 3200. Download the latest patch from here:
