Hi all,

I'm new to Great Plains customizations, and I'm trying to changed some modified forms that already exist. We have a form that takes in a customer ID and automatically fills in other fields. The field I'm trying to change (shipping method) defaults to something that we'd like to change, but I am unclear as to how to change the default value. I've been checking out the documentation, and there are no VB customizations associated with the form. Is there a way to see where it's getting the data? I see linked tables, but I don't see a way to check out those table (in SQL or anything like that) so I can't be sure if something is being done there to specify order. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if further information might help.

Thanks!

Look for dots in the name of the window. This will identify if there is a modified window or VBA code in place.

if not, your customisation could be written in Dexterity. You will need to look in your DYNAMICS.SET launch file to see if any custom dictionaries are installed.

You can also look at the triggers report from Tools >> Customise >> Customisation Status. Look through the report and see if any triggers have been placed against the windows in question.

Before you can look at changing the customisation we need to understand what tool it is written in.
