I need to remove a table from an article in transactional replication. Do I need to re-initialize the snapshot? Or will it just ignore it if it isn't in the article?

To remove an article from replication you have to delete the publication and republish it.

I am sorry if I was not clear... I want to delete a table from within the article. I found that one of the tables that I wanted to published got truncated every day, so I cannot have that one in the article.

Do I need to re-initialize the subscription so that it does not try to send the table info, etc??

Each table is it's own article within the publication, so I'm not sure what you are trying to do then.

Check out sp_dropsubscription - I think this will achieve what you need

How exactly is dropping the subscription going to help the op remove a table from the replication?

Well, if he drops the subscritpion to that one particular article, won't that do what he needs? I mean, that article won't get replicated across to the subscriber
