Modify VPN Password

Hello,
External clients: XP, SP3
Server: W2K3, SP2
Connection clients-servers(domain): VPN
The VPN Clients are in a global group.
My problem:
The clients cannot modify the password and do not get a message that the password should be modified.
The only way is to reset it from helpdesk.

How could I solve the problem ?
