Hello,

I must modify the mail address of 450 users....

Example john smith address:
is now: j.smith@company.com
should be: john.smith@company.com

How could I do it in a short time ?

thanks

There are a few ways, but probably the easiest is to use ADModify.

You don't just want to replace the old SMTP addresse with the new, because this will break replies to old email. So, the ideal is to add the new SMTP address as a primary, and keep the esisting SMTP address as a secondary for each account. Therefore you'll probably want the 'Set as primary' option on the Email Addresses tab of ADModify.

Thanks zbnet,
It's a nice tool, I will use it later for sure.
Yes the new address must be the primary address but it is already defined.
Example John smith, in the Excahnge Adresses tab:

smtp: j.smith@company.com
SMTP: john.smith@company.com
X400: .......
What I have to do is to set the "SMTP:john.smith@company.com" as primary address.
for 450 users, of course I can do it manually.....

regards

The Policy:

GENERAL

(&(&(&(& (mailnickname=*) (| (&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(msExchHomeServerName=/o=Ammann Group/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=MECHLA02)) )))(objectCategory=user)(company=Test*)))

E-MAIL Address ( policy)
SMTP ...........
X400 ...........

Where should I put the variables in ?

Sorry...
I've of course to edit the SMPT.
OK but with this procedure I replace the old address.
Correct ?
It should stay for while.
