I need to modify a system DSN on a server remotely. Is this possible? Unfortunately, server that I can remotely access does not have terminal client installed.

If you have server 2000, you have the ability to connect 2 admin terminal sessions to the server built in...a terminal server client is not necessary on the server.

Chernobyl disaster..a must see pictorial

Any chance you could walk me through that without having the client installed?

You need to click Start > Run and enter <tsadmin> in your "Run" dialog box

This will bring up the session administrator window where you can click "Actions" on the menu and "Connect to Computer"

The rest is pretty straight away....

Good luck!

Luvsql,

You could also use remote registry and modify the DSN settings through the HKLM\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI key.
