Modify overwriting media settings

The settings are set on ..NONE and unchecked box for Prompt before....
cannot have this error being printed and emailed to my client any longer..
should i change the settings to have no message box appear...
overwriting allocated media "DLT00007"
media overwrite Protection is configured to overwrite allocated media
please consult online help for more info on allocated medi..
any suggestions for resetting or reconfiguring..
