We recently merged with another company and now we need to modify the name that appears on the display when we are calling people outside our office.
We have an Option 11 rel 25 (pre call pilot). We want to modify the outgoing Caller ID on the system to refelect the new company name. We use 2 PRI's as the backbone and the telco says that thdisplay is handled by the phone system and not them.
I am guessing that there is an LD command that can be used to modify the name.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks! I had 2 divisions of the telco on a conf call both saying different things! One said on the PBX, the other said it was a Telco thing on the PRI.

That's because it can be either. A telco CAN provision a PRI to allow the PBX to send NI2 name. 99.99999% of the time, they do not. There's actually some knowledgebase docs on Nortel describing it.

If telco is allowing it, then it's either the CPND name assigned to the DN, or the CPND name assigned to the CLID entry. Both are in LD 95. The CLID entry name overrides the DN name, if both are provisioned.
