This is most likely directed towards Kyle Holladay, as the question relates to one of the modules he provided, but anyone else who knows can chime in for stars.

I'm trying to figure out the moderated bridge queue piece of the conference bridge design posted here: I'm not understanding where the "transfer moderated bridge queue" action should go. Should that go to a hunt group that queues the calls, or to the queued action underneath the ConfBridgeQueue group in VM pro via a goto step?

By the way Kyle, great work on that module. Very handy. Everything works fine except the wiring in my brain that isn't understanding the moderated portion of the equation.

The whole moderated bridge was not well documented and really needs to be updated but here are the basics.

Unmoderated bridges or the base bridge is automatically handled by the 555N; shot code.

For moderated bridges you will need to create a hunt group with queuing for each user. You can adjust the following math any way you like. The next version will actually simply add 1000 to the extension number to get rid of the 5550 header in the hunt group.

Say your extensions are 200-299. Your base bridge numbers are 555200-555299 (although the 555 part is hidden from the user and only there for the short code).

You would then want to create hunt groups 5550200-5550299 (this part you can change and this is what will change in future versions). No voicemail yes to queuing with announcements.

If the moderator has set their PIN to 1000 using the *PASS (7277) option then they would actually enter 1005 as the PIN to join, you'll see this in menuConference under the Validate PIN. You can adjust this math as well. If the match is +5 to the actual PIN it sets the moderators absent state and text and transfers them to the base bridge.

When users call in they dial 1000 and that matches the 0 action of the Validate PIN which should be connected to Transfer Moderated Bridge Queue. Which will dump them into 5550+bridge number (the hunt groups you created previously). There they will sit and the system will check at Queued and Still Queued to see if the moderator has their absent state set. If not they continue to queue. If so they are dumped into the base bridge with the moderator.

Confusing enough?

Works like a champ now. I didn't think to build the hunt group with the 5550+extension number, even though I saw 5550$CP0 as the transfer destination in the "Transfer moderated bridge queue" section.

Thanks for the quick response and the tips.

Let me know what you think of it once you've had a chance to toy around with it a bit. I'm also working on a way to automatically record conference calls but am having little luck at this point.

I'm always looking for requests or suggestions as well.
