Hi all
this is my 1st post on this site so hello to everyone.
I have a Windows 2003 RRAS / Exchange 2003 SP2 server. 4 modems (MultiTech 56K modems) are connected to this server via a 4 - way Octupus cable which is connected to an onboard Digi Acceleport Adapter. Users dialin to the RRAS service on this server and get an IP address from the DHCP pool of 4 addresses and are then connected to our domain where they download their emails from the Exchange server.
The users dial a lead number which then routes to 1 of the numbers associated with each modem.
For the last 6 mths or so the modems have been hanging. What seemes to happen is that 1 of the modems will drop TR. If this happens the users cannot dialin. Whenever they attempt the call just rings out and no one can connect remotely. A work around is to dial the lead number via cell phone or landline and then try dialing into the network via laptop. This obviously is a problem when you have 130 or so remote users!!
I have some modem logs from the server in question but they are pretty lengthy. If you require these please let me know.
The server is fully patched with all the latest OS updates.
Any tips would be great.
Thanks in advance.
