i get a message saying "no dial tone" whenever i try to use the modem.
there does not appear to be any conflicts and the device is working properly, according to the device manager. it is configured to com port 4.

Umm......make sure that the phone line is plugged in securely into the back of the modem and that it is in the right slot for starters. then try making your modem ignore the dial tone. try putting commas before the number you are dailing. try another phone line. try putting a phone on the end of the line you are putting in the modem and see if you can get a dialtone with that. if not try another jack in your house.
Ladin
matchu_14@hotmail.com

Tech support for 1 1/2 years, build computers, messed with C, HTML, Working on Flash, Role-Playing Game Junkie (Diablo2)
