Modem tone answer instead of A.A.

Two customers are reporting that some times a modem tone is answering the lines instead of the A.A..

I have called in and have heard this tine as well. IT does not happen all the time.

Any suggestions. This is on two ACS 7 systems.

Do you have an RAC card in the system? Is there a Fax connected as an extension? Is there an alarm system sharing the line on an RJ-31X? Or worse, an alarm installer clipping onto the voice pair of a station, hearing "dial tone", and connecting their ins and outs to that station.

Also, is Ext 76 included in #505 Group 7? It should not be there. It is the remote modem, not a VM port.

Also, the old night AA menu is answering. I programmed the AA to answer 24/7 ALWAYS on all lines after 4 rings. But after hours the old night announcmment is answering
