Hi

I have not got a serial/com port on my laptop so am unable to log into the comsole port on my router, this might be a silly question but I just wondered if it was possible to directly connect my modem to the Aux port?

I think that hyperterminal would require a dial up number to use the modem so is there any way around this?

FYI - I know that I could set the laptop on the same subnet and connect to a ethernet port and telnet, but I just wondered if the above was posssible

Thanks for your help

You could hook up a modem to the Aux port to use it to dial into the router, however, extensive configuration is required to be performed on the router before it starts working.
