I have set up a RAS connection on an internal modem on our Windows 2000 server. Out of 5 different remote locations, within a 15 mile radius, 3 PCs can connect to the modem and 2 get a ring, no answer. When the modem number is dialed by phone, there is also a ring, no answer. Why would the modem connect for some and not for other? I know nothing about phone lines, but could the newly installed phone line have some kind of a switch problem?
