I have a Digi RASPort 4 modem attached to our Win2k server with MetaFrame XP, Feature Release2, SP2. Intermittantly, when users disconnect from the server, one (or all) of the modem ports will not reset. Not sure if it's always the same port or all of them, we're looking into it. If the next user dials in to the main number they get no answer and we have to reboot the server to reset the modem.
We installed the latest service packs and Digi drivers, no help. We tried to access the modem from Hyperterminal after the problem happened again, no response from any of the 4 com ports the modem is attached to.
Digi asked us to turn off Terminal Services, and we can't. When you select the service, the Stop button grays out. (Is this normal? Do you have to reset the service to manual and reboot? Or maybe this is part of our problem.)
Any suggestions of how to diagnose the com port, service, or Digi problem would be greatly appreciated.
