I have an external modem. FCC is H8NTAI-20977-MM-E, I cannot find any info except that it is made by Askey Computer. Does anyone know anything about this modem, speed, etc.

Look on the modem for black chips. Give us the numbers and letter combos on the largest chips.
Or you can google them yourself. Either way, its not usually hard to find as there are only a few chipsets for modems anyway.

Sorry, i see its an external modem. But i think you can open them up easy to see the chipsets on them?
It wouldnt happen to say conextant or rockwell anywhere, would it?
