I have an internal modem on comm port 4 (win95) and I am trying to set it up within Corel Linux, latest version. My Motherboard is a PCChips M748LMRT. I am unsure what type the modem is.
Check and see if this is a WinModem. Linux does not care what kind of modem it is however it cannot be a WinModem.
Yes it is a WinModem how did you guess? I believe that there is a LinModem driver being developed at this moment in time, and that PC-Tel, and a few other companies, have supplied the required data for this to be done.
Thanks anyway for taking the time to post a reply.
