Modem on BCM50 R3

Anyone know how to properly set up the internal modem for basic dial in access? The one I have says the DN is 333 and I want to change it. When I go into application DNs, I can change the DN number no problem but in the dial-in parameters it still shows 333 in the read only field.

Anyone?

Try changing an unused DN to the number you want, and then swap it with the Modem DN.

Where do I do the swap? In the dial up interfaces section it already says the dn is 333 and I already tried changing it in the application dn section. Is there somewhere else tat defines the modem?

Just take an unused DN and change it to whatever you want the DN to be.
Then change it to 333.
They should switch places.

I've never changed it, but I know it can be done.
Our pre-install config group does it all the time.
Maybe you need to disable the modem first?

Have you ever worked on a 3.0? They are quite a bit different from previous releases and the documentation from Nortel SUCKS!

I know how to swap a couple of DNs. That's why I posted the way I did.

I figured it out ... have you?
Change the DN as you normally would.
For instance, double-click 333 change to what you want.
Then reboot the BCM.
When it comes back up the new DN will be shown on the
Dial-In Parameters tab.
