MODEM HELP

Hello,
well...I was trying to install a dial up modem in my system and then when I test it on Device manager...it gives me a error saying that "Cannot Read Port name from Registry". What is taht supposed to mean? Is there any help available? Any help would be appriciated.

u need to update your modem drivers,if u have winXP
