modem dysfunction upon win2000 update

i recently updated my pc from win 95 to win 2000 professional.
unfortunately, i can no longer use the modem to connect to the internet...my pc claims it's driver is incompatible with win 2000.

is there any chance that i can download an update driver for my modem?

What you need to do is go to your modem manufacturers website and see if they have written a driver for windows 2000 and if htey have you will have to download and install that to get your modem to work. Hopefully you have access to the internet somewhere other than the place where you have the dysfunctional modem. A great site for drivers is
