When I boot my computer the modem dials into my ISP automatically. This started occuring after a re-format. Cannot find anything that shows how or where to unselect this option, No programs startup after the dial-up.

this may help:

run regedit explor to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

Create a new DWORD value (or Binary on Windows 95) by clicking 'edit' name it "EnableAutodial", set the value to '0' to disable it.

I hope that is what you're looking for!
