I am writing code in VB6 to use MSCOMM to control a modem dialing out. (no data will be passed this is just a predialer to save time on the dialing)

I am not having problems yet with that code but my question is if I compile the VB6 code into an exe file will it run using the VBA that access utilizes? or do I need to write it up in C++?

found a better solution, has a module that controls the comm ports without using MSCOmm1 and as such I don't have to run around to all the machines and load MSCOMM1 on them. only problem I had was I had to put in a time killing loop after the write command in the module to let the modem have enough time to actually dial out.

thanks
