Modem Connection

Hi there,

Just new with AIX. I have setup a pc stand alone connection to the RS/6000 through modem and i'm using a hyperterm to connect and it works fine. I'm just curious, can i also used a telnet session connecting thru ip address using the straight connection thru modem? i've tried to ping but no reply from the server. Is it possible, if yes what procedures i need to take.

You need to setupt a PPP connection between the AIX and the PC - means setting both the client and the PC side.
