Modem Communication Software Needed

I am new to Mac, and I work for a local library system that allows it's patrons to connect to our system from home to search for titles and other library functions, now we recommend hyper terminal for the pc users b/c it is usually easy to set up and it is already on there machine. I am looking for a free modem software for a Mac that I can recommend for people to download and connect to our system, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use ZTerm, I find it very nice it is shareware

I found it well worth $30, personally. BTW unlike Hyperterminal, Zterm can answer the phone and be a mini server. I love everyone til they prove otherwise, sadly some prove otherwise SO quickly
