Hello,
I am trying to create a model based on iqds. I need to split out one level to differentiate across my divisions. For instance, I need to break an item code up into which territory it is sold to. The problem that I am running into is that because the Item code has only 1 sid, I can't break it up into 2 categories.
Hope this makes some sense. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for you help

Hi,

You still need something to identify an ID as being different......a 1 or 2 in the 3'rd position of the #, for example.
When you can do that, you'll just add a column to your .imr/.iqd to be the territory.
It would be like defining a calculated column, "ID Range" as:
IF (ID <= 5000) then ('1 to 5000') else IF (ID <= 100000) then ('5001 to 100000') else....and so on.
Then, in your model, "ID Range" would be a category right above the ID category in your ID NUMBER dimension.
I hope this helps.
