It is viewed that mobile soft phone making and receiving calls outside the Office costs less than the traditional route. I couldn’t understand because, in what ever means, the call route requires a mobile data from the subscribed mobile network provider which costs money in terms of data bandwidth purchased. So it is not free. Also the customer may need to upgrade the internet access to cater for the additional traffic.
Please can one help me understand because the assertions that softphone calls save the customer money have not considered my above pointers.
 
you are absolutely correct

where it might be of benefit is where the mobile device is using a free hotspot ( wifi) to obtain its data

our users use it when they are travelling internationally - in hotel - get wifi access then connect client to make local calls via pabx in home country

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
