Mobile provider likely to block PPTP access?

Hi there,

Is it possible that a 3g mobile phone company would block a PPTP VPN connection? We have a teleworker in Switzerland using a 3g usb modem. The remote worker is unable to connection to our working PPTP VPN.

I have a suspicion that the provider may be blocking the connection. Is this likely? Anyone have any similar experiences? The documentation for the modem says that it supports IPSEC VPNs.

I also use 3G without problems but it doesn't mean your provider hasn't blocked it.

I would firstly check that there isn't a local firewall causing the problem.

Does it work ok on the same machine using dial up?
