I'm currently researching various solutions for management level employees to recieve email on their Palm Treo 600s.

Beyond the basic ability to recieve/send email, the key requirement is that it will notify them when they have new mail (a "push" model). Most solutions require you to access a wap page or log into a service - they want to get some sort of visual/audio notification when new mail arrives.

AT+T Office Online - requires a client stub be running on a machine that must be left on. No "push" feature.
Advantage: Cheap, relatively easy to set up and maintain.

OMA - No "push" feature. Advantage: free, don't know much about the setup but I get the feeling it's considerably more than other solutions.

Goodlink - Extremely expensive ($33 per month per account - WTF??). Has the "push" model and a nice interface.

Lee Derbyshire - Looks like a nice OMA alternative. No "push" model.

Can anyone offer suggestions for mobile access that meet the "push" requirement?

Thanks in advance

Our organizations is currently using the 600 through Sprint. They have an app BCCE that allows you to wirelessly get e-mail and allows push. With Exchange 2003 is also synchs calendar wirelessly. Calendar is not what we expected - no reminders & view only.

We are looking at Sprint's 6601 - WinCE device - Looks great. I will probably switch from 600 to 6601.

Am also demoing the 650 - no major functionality changes. Removeable battery, movie recordings and new keyboard are new.

Robert.

THere's also a product called OneBridge that offers the push model. It is compatible with palm os, pocket pc and symbian.

Just an update, I found several products that use a "push" model. All of them are subscription based and run about 30/month/user. I guess it's just the hot technology right now. I could understand 10/mo, but 30+ ??? We'll probably have to pass on it.

Actually, GoodLink is far less than $30/month. A two year subscription runs about $19/month/user and a 1 year runs about $23/month/user.
