Ok so we have had our system running for a month and decided to go ahead with teleworker, nupoint, YA, and all of our other add-on installs. Have teleworker and YA installed working great. I'm now on the Mobile Exentions running on MAS 1.0. I downloaded the apps from from the servicelink tabs and everything looked peachy. I noticed a problem with adding users to ME. The add button is simply unresponsive and the Users and services link comes back with page cannot be displayed. After calling support they mentioned that for this install I need to use the Mitel Configurator Tool....???? Huh? I went through all 14 screens on this tool and see nothing that would indicate an option to integrate the 3300 with the MAS server. Has anyone ever ran into this? Surely this isnt the only way to do this. I never used the configuration tool to start with because in the mitel training class, we learned to do everything the old fashioned way....Manually. We skimmed over the tool the last 20 minutes of the last day, so I wasnt that familiar with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Mobile Extensions on MAS 1.0

The blade is disabled from traditional modifications on purpose because the database becomes corrupted if you are able to make changes (i.e. your not doing anything wrong, but the way MAS works, its not 100% like the individual products, as there is a shared database).
I'm not sure what region you are in. And Mitel does do business somewhat differently in several regions (overall, it's pretty much the same).
In the region in which I work, (home of Mitel), there is no Mitel Configuration Tool to purchase. AND, AND!, if someone told me to order it and pay for it, I would send them the MPT print out that I just ran where IT DID NOT COME UP AT ALL!

I recently activated a Mitel Application Suite inc Mobile Extension and I ran into the same issue. I wasn't worried at the time as ME is not being used right away.
The Config tool does have ME entry stuff on it if you select USERS and Mobile Extension on the initial screen.
The config tool is very invasive when it comes to configuring the 3300 and it will overwrite COS options, COR options, FAC's and other assorted stuff so be sure to have a backup to import these forms afterwards.
It doesn't make sense that you have to use the config tool to add users after the initial setup but I haven't crossed that bridge yet.
For TheMitelGuy, the config tool is included with the software download under tools.
