Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question. I am putting a business plan together for my company, for the use of exhange to manage mobile devices. We have teh infrastructure to do this in place, just know one has got round to doing it!

With the password policies, can you set and enforce the use of, a password tp be entered before the device can be used. What I mean is, if you dont use your device for say 30 seconds it locks itself, so if it is lost or stolen, the data cant be accessed?

I have done some reading on this and I know passwords can be set... but to be honest, Im not sure what is being password protected.. access to the phone or to exchange etc.

Thanks

Actually... A second question to this.

We currently have to get the users to come to IT with there mobile device and we sit with them and configure their devices. Their are 3 steps to complete in configuring the devices,
* GPRS configuration
* Proxy Setup
* Active Sync
Each step requires IT staff to talk users through this and users username and password to be entered for each step, leading to a large admin overhead. Can any of this be automated maybe through exchange or sms?

thanks
Wazz
