As happens everywhere, our MD has seen someone doing something that looks nice and he wants to do it as well. What it was, someone used their palm pilot to pick up e-mail while in the MD's office. Now he would like to do the same. The problem is, the other person doesn't work here, so I can't pick their brains. But the biggest problem is I know absolutly nothing about how to go about giving him what he wants. The idea is he has a palm device that would auto dial an internet connection, and via a vpn tunnel pick up his e-mail from our domino server. At the same time, it would send any outgoing mail. Then disconnect. He has no need to access the web from this device. He only needs to access e-mail at the moment, but I am sure that when this works, he will want to check his calender. We do not have any special databases to worry about him accessing or even the to-do list. Can anybody out there suggest a solution to this?

We use BlackBerries for email and calendaring ( The exec love them as they use GPRS to push/pull their email instantly. However, they are NOT a palm pilot and subsequently do not have many of the features but are far superior for email and calendaring.

Tony.

Thanks for the reply Tony, but he loves to look of the pilot, so is pushing for that.

Hi Graham

Here is some info from a previous thread:

You can find it on The product used to be called Cadenza. It really works fine, and is stable.

Another idea to try out is HotSync, but I'm not as confident with that product.

Jason
