Hi All

I have a problem with no message waiting lights working on an 1000e. The callpilot is at the other end of h323 trunks and all the phones on the 100om do work correctly. We have looked at the level 2 trace from the d channel and it looks correct when the lamp is asked either to be switched on or off.

I have no 500 or digital ports on the 1000e only ip phones

Phones are loaded with latest firmware and patches on switch.

Anys thoughts

John

Create an IPset with MIK and MCK key and try if it works.
Press MIK key DN (from set you want the lite lit) and pres MIK key again.
The same way with the MCK key to clear the light.
Does that work ?

Do you mean you can see the FACility message going out the VTRK from 1000M and FACility message going in the VTRK of 1000E?

If so your set must have CLS MWA and as DutchPennyMan says check with MIK/MCK keys. Options may be present in CDB also.

Did this quit working or is this a new install that hasn't worked at all?

Not fimiliar with the h323 trunks, but or if they utilize a D-channel, but it may be an RCAP setting.

Get same problem with a 3rd party VM hanging off a 1000T on DPNSS, Which uses H323 to get to the 1000E. Found that you have to put DSC's in the 1000T for the DN ranges in the 1000E to get the MWI to work, even though the phones route fine using VNR the MWI doesnt.

Try just adding a steering code in the switch with the CP on it to route to the H323(just 1 DSC for the range eg DSC 6 flen 4 would be fine for 6xxx extensions).

Thanks for the tip on 1000t will try it on my 1000e.

John

Check the PNIs of both customers and trunks.

The PNI of the customer of the 1000M should be the same as the PNI in the RDB of the 1000E.

And about the VNR... I have got a multi customer 1000E with a 1000S to support CallPilot for all customers. All connected with SIP trunks. I use VNR on the 1000S to route the MWI and it works fine.

GoodLuck,
Jacco.
