MN 5207d Bootup without DHCP

I'm trying to get a 5207 to go into static IP mode when I boot it up. I've tried:
- Both volume keys
- Volume up
- Volume down
- SuperKEY
- Hold
- DEBUG
- *6
- *7
- *
- 7
- 6

No matter what I do, the phone always goes to DHCP. I have read the manual and it says to hold the volume up key for 3 seconds when powering up, however that doesn't work.

Anyone else experienced this?

Don't overlook the distinct possibility that you have a defective instrument. It happens. If you've followed the instructions, what more can you do? I'd try another instrument.
