Mmory Error While Installing Oracle

We were trying to install Oracle 8i on Unixware 7.1.1 . We tuned parameters through stune file and rebuilt the kernel. When we run the install script of Oracle, we get the following error:-
mapChunk: mmap failed:
Insufficient or invalid memory.
** Out of memory, exiting**

Any body having idea about the error ?

How much memory does the system have?

What else is running on the system?
