Question:

Can MMDF be configured to forward local mail to another local SMTP server.
Can qmail be configured to acept mail from MMDF on a local network and then pass it to an internet address.

I am not well versed in the area.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful?

Danny Daniels
dannyd@aboveboardelectronics.com

Danny,

Can't help you with qmail, but MMDF can easily be configured to forward remote mail to a 'smarthost' which would handle the routing of any mail for external networks. Without going into any great detail here, all I can recommend is that you RTFM as the manuals are quite good. You'll want the 'Mail and Messaging Documentation Set'.

A tip (for you and any other SCO user who hasn't happened across it), you can browse the SCO Documentation on your machine using your favourite browser if you connect to the URL <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> luck,

Annihilannic
