MMC Cannot Initialize Snap In - Management Console

Hi guys,

Got a weird on, for a few days now I have been unable to open the Management Console on our Exchange 2007 box.

When I click it, it straight away comes up with "MMC Cannot Initialize the snap in".

Got no idea why it just started happening, I have so far just rebooted the server but before going any further wanted to check there was nothing easy I was missing.

Did you already try to reregister the XML dll?

regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\msxml3.dll

Sometimes xml-related updates cause this dll to become unregistered and that also causes MMC to crash.

Thanks Dave, I did try that but sadly didn't work.

I have sorted it though, I removed all the temporary files for MMC. Go to MMC, click File > Options > Delete Files in the Disk Clean up.
