MM3.1 with exchnage backend - real strange issue with inside callers

Having an issue with a new install - MM3.1 with exchange 2003 - Qsig trunking used

Calls from Phone to Phone:
calls from inside go to MM - plays users gretting - record message - hangup - message lights goes on - call into MM
listen to message - lights goes off

Calls from outside to Phone's DID# via ISDN_PRI
calls from ouside via DID#'s go to MM - plays users gretting - record message - hangup - message lights does not go on - call into MM - no message is left

I see where they are being dropped off to off-line store

programs - modular messaging - vserver - spool

never seen this happen with just external calls and not internal call -

MM3.1 with patch Avaya Patch MM310007
Avaya S8300 CM4.0.1 with latest patch

just did an install with MM3.1 and Exchange 2003 using IP trunking - no issues such as this

Looks as if after 4 hours or so the messages are being sent but sit in spool folder until then - get pushed almost like clock work ?

event viewer logs show the MM connect to exchange - then go off line after a minute or so.

in the time it connects some messages are being pushed from off-line spool to exchange.

what would cause it to be able to connect then drop ?

real strange but took awhile to catch on .....psn 000779U
resolved - customer using 2003 SP1 - hotfix 7233.51

SYMPTOMS
A fix has been released that changes the behavior of the "Full Mailbox Access" feature in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. Prior to this change, any user with the “Full Mailbox Access” permission for a mailbox also had the ability to “Send As” the mailbox owner.



used work around now all new messages are getting to exchange and starting to see spool folder deliver the message to on-line store exchange - may take some time to push them all but do a see a change for the better : )


just a voice tech trying to survive in data world - you learn something everyday - saw this about 10 months ago and have not run into it since
