Well first off let me say no you can't turn that off. That is what the whole system is based on. Not sure why someone would buy a system that uses the email server to store VM and then want it not to tie into the email box.
The only way to do this is to setup a 2nd AD account that has an email account that is not used therefore it will never have email in it.
But then they would complain that they don't get the voice mails in the inbox.
By the way what is the downside of knowing how many emails you have? let alone the fact that it will read them to you if you are not at a PC or PDA / Blackberry.
Should have gone with MSS Store - We use Exchange store and its no bother to know how many emails I have - if checking from the road I still only listen to " Voice "
All it is is the TUI letting you know how many Voice and emails you have -
I am sure its not going to fly with them not matter what happens -
my guess is they went with Exchange Store as a cheaper Solution then Avaya MSS Store -
Is there a trick to getting the new AD accounts to associate to the Extension for MWI purposes -
In the Original AD Account you would disable Modular Messaging in the MM Tab of AD or how would you disassociate the Extension to be freed up for the New "AD" account
Never really had to this before and hope it never gets done again : )
