MM3.0 - can't build mailbox "PBX ext matches a subscriber's sec ext"

I have a MM 3.0 box that is giving me the following error: "Error: PBX extension matches a subscriber's secondary extension (1524)" when I try to build a mailbox for extension 8324. 8324 is a bridged appearance on four other phones on the G3r.

Do I have to remove these bridged appearances before can build the mailbox? None of the stations with the bridged appearances have mailboxes of their own. Is there a way to find out the mailbox with the secondary extension?

(warning: I'm still very new to Modular Messaging - I'm more of a Nortel guy still.)

If you are using Mailbox manager then you can sort by secondary ext and find out who is using it. Or you could just call the number and see who's mailbox it rolls to.


Other than that you will need to look at each one.
