Hi Guys,

Weare having a new MM system installed on our site ithe next week or so and I was wondering what the backup options are?
Do we need to acquire a license for our corporate backup software (Tivoli) or do Avaya provide a means of backing up this box to tape/DVD/etc?

Thanks

What are you useing as the store ? if it is an mss then you can back it up with the dvd. or you can back it up over the LAN.

Thanks,

From what I have been told it is a single box solution (The MSS is going to be on the same box as the MAS).
Does the solution therefore have these capabilities for backups built in?
ie: without buying any 3rd party product can backups be scheduled to the DVD drive or alternatively FTP'd across the LAN to a SAN or something similar?
If you are able to schedule these backups as described above what data is actually saved (system files, audio files, greetings, announcemnents, etc)?

Sorry for all of the questions and any help is greatfully received,

The MSS and the MAS can not be on the same box. You may be getting the Exchange version and if you are the messages are stored in Exchange. So that is what would need to be backed up.

If it was an MSS then it backs up messages and greetings and system data every night at 3:00 AM.
