Can anyone tell me why mm will not divert to an atendant (0),after the call is picked up by mermail? When a call is directed to mm and you do not want to leave a message, the option to divert to an attendant gives me a message that ( there is no attendant programmed. Where does the attendant need to be programmed on the pbx or mm mail side. Checked the tools login in mm ,but did not find anything, would it be on the cdb on the pbx side? any help would be appreciated.

In your Main Menu, choose General Administration. There is a place there for you to define the attendant DN. Also, in a user's mailbox, there is another place to define the Revert DN. You may also need to allow that DN in your Restriction Permission lists

sandy's correct (as usual), if your rest/per list is on switch (most are) it then look at the def of on switch, it also depends on where the mail answers the call, if i hit a menu service, then get an option to dial 0 for operator, you need to define a revert dn on that menu service, option 3 then 4 then 6 in i remember right. if you don't see it there look at the voice service dn table, that assigns a number to a voice dervice id.. example if i dial xxx-2000, the co sends 2000, that hits a acd that has a ncfw to my mail. mail rec 2000 looks at the voice service dn table and sends it to voice service 1000, that also defines it as a menu servce (or ann ser, thru dial etc).. in the ms 1000, i record my company greeting, plus my menu choices, dial 1 for admin etc or 0 for the operator, on the service list all numbers are defined to do something, dial ext, express mail, dial by name etc, there is no entry for 0, that is back at the top of that menu under revert dn... just one of the fewe places you can look. if this is to basic for you, i just go into detail because some others might need this two min class in ms...

aw, john, I'm blushin'! as usual, you provide all the detail one may need to understand my brief reply -- thanks.

Thanks for responding. I checked the mermail and the dn is set for zero. and the mail stations are also set to revert to 0. The problem is that I am not going into the voice mail part of the mermail, I want to be able to go the the attendant when mermail picks up to leave a voice mail, it keeps telling me that an att is not configured.

where is the restricted permission list located at mm or pbx?

option 3 3 from the mail main menu

option 2 then 1 is the field for the atdn.. if you have zero their and still can't dial the operator i would used a vacant number their and the make the vacant number a acd with ncfw to 0.. only prompts you need in ld 23 are

acdn xxxx...(vacan) number
maxp 1 (you don't need any agents)
ncfw.. (the number you want to end up at, 0)
